About me and my practice
How I work
I work online (video link) or by telephone and I have some availability at the moment. I offer flexibility for session days and times
Sessions are 50 minutes in duration.
I offer LONG TERM therapy that is open ended-suitable for exploring your past and how it affects the present, giving you time and space to explore your difficulties and make positive changes in your life......OR
Solution focused BRIEF THERAPY. It is short term therapy of 6-8 sessions that focuses on helping you find solutions- so it less about the past but about your difficulties in the present and helping you to find a better way forward, by developing managing and coping strategies.
It is therefore goal oriented, collaborative and future focused.
I work with: relationship difficulties, fertility issues, miscarriage, bereavement, challenging emotions, life events and changes, low mood, self esteem, low confidence, depression. I also specialise in anxiety difficulties.
I can help you to understand and work through your thoughts and feelings.
You may be struggling with difficult emotions that may make you feel frustrated, or unhappy. You might be struggling to function at work, at home, in relationships or socially.
I can help you to understand yourself better and help you to find a better way forward
I can help you to develop ways of coping and find new ways of managing your thoughts and feelings.
I will help you to consider your perspective and explore any changes that you might feel able to make. Together we can explore a way for you to make positive changes in your life.
Your perspective of your difficulties is not fixed, you might feel there is no escape from the way you think and feel, however by learning about yourself and how your mind is working are the first steps to changing your perspective. How you think and feel now will evolve and will be different at the end of therapy.
